tribe of kings is a reggae dj soundsystem in san diego, ca. ran by my sister's boyfriend and the rest of his crew. one of my first paintings ever was of their logo, and recently the other month I wanted to try experimenting and creating a pixelated version of their logo, just mainly for fun and to see if a decent one could be put together. well after a few different versions, minor changes, critique from my sis and dash eye, this was the final version I came up with.

after coming up with the pixelated logo, I actually made this into a yarn mosiac-stitched on plastic canvas piece, finished off with a frame of about the same dimensions as this digital work. perhaps soon or later today I'll upload it to share with everyone. though it's a christmas gift to dash eye, so have just been trying to keep it a secret till then.
