Toad - Super Mario 2 (USA)
finished a week or two before christmas twenty-twelve as a gift for my wonderful sister Meagan Rae. painted on deep 30"x30" canvas using liquitex basics brand acrylics.
minor changes to the original artwork are the detailing in the grass area. removed some of the bottom orange flooring area and also lowered the amount of grass 'shades' repetition to simplify the overall composition in hopes of bringing the eyes attention more so on the character and less on the flooring.
bit of a mash up between my love for pure sprite against solid color background paintings, and also between the element of flooring and including world sprites
