first vendor booth! :)

Journal Entry: Sun Apr 13, 2014, 9:16 PM

Hello! Hope all's been great for everyone this week!

Joined up this weekend with a good friend Jesse Boyle ( you can check out his work here! www.JesseBoyleArt.com) and also his friend Aaron Motley (instagram.com/aaronleymotley) to vendor alongside this last Friday evening at Second Friday's on Main Street in Downtown Mesa, Arizona.  Was my first vendor booth and I had a great time meeting some new people and talking with other artists and gamers!  Many of you were incredibly kind!

Thank you to all who stopped by the booth and checked out my works, and as well to those who were able to help and support.  Was good chatting with some of you just about games and art in general, and hopefully we'll meet and speak again!  Big thanks as well to those who expressed a lot of interest in the few original pieces i brought along.

Tofu-booth by nintentofu

I ended up selling the small blue background 8x10 Dig Dug painting (seen front right, left of mario), and also a mini-canvas & easel mushroom painting (just above-right of the dig dug piece)!  A couple prints were sold, mainly the Link and Triforce one!  Some 1989 official Nintendo cards! A bead sprite magnet or two, and all the handmade business cards I created for the evening were taken so that's good also.  Forgot to bring along my framed Super Mario 2 Toadstool stitch craft piece, but at least that will be something new and different for next month's.  I have a few pieces in the works as well that will be new and hopefully some more variety of prints and goodies.

Thanks again for the support from everyone including upon deviant art, I do truly appreciate it!  :)

^_^  Wish everyone a good upcoming week, Cheers!

oi! was born and raised within arizona and lived here most of my life. love to experiment with many sorts of mediums, and always looking for new inspirations to expand and grow from. i enjoy music a lot in my life, as well as playing and sometimes writing/recording. grew up playing early nintendo games with my lovely sister, and not much later got into pc gaming as well.

have much admiration & respect towards many art styles and types of artworks (crafts/sculptures/knits/beads/LEGOS!+etc!) along with music genres. much of my artwork expressed is inspired from pixel art and video games (though not limited to) and for a long time been fascinated and baffled by how amazing it is that an artist can portray a character/item within such a limited space of pixels and colors, yet still create something so memorable and recognizable is very amazing. to look at a small 16x16 set of pixels and be able to knowingly say, "THAT'S MARIO!" is quite fascinating to me! it feels great and primitive in terms of breaking something down to it's smallest possible parts that can yet still get across a distinct and recognizable idea. often i try to express my interest in that aspect of pixel art, back into some of my original pieces.

do try holding a positive outlook on life and reflect good energy towards others, while reminding myself to keep open to growth and learning. enjoy reading as well but don't fit enough time for it as much as I'd hope! mostly enjoy reading fiction but also loves me some good non-fiction! :D

my artwork's a minor reflection of many aspects in life that move me, and I try to keep open to many mediums and work with what I'd like to or feel inspired to. sometimes you just need a different medium though simply to get a seperate point or idea across! since root I've grown up with much curiosity about things, life, people, the world and loved also taking objects apart as a kid just to see how it was made.

being a member of deviantart is a wonderful thing to me, and I enjoy the kindness and thoughtfulness from others across the site. always a pleasure to hear from each of you out there, and it's definitely a positive thing to be able and share all of our artworks together. being a lover of many art types, it's a wonderful place to get lost in all sorts of artworks and feel inspired by many. often, it can be overwelming considering how much art is really worth commenting on! out of everywhere on the interwebs though, deviantart has always been the most awesome and kind online community. thank you all to whom is out there and reading this, that helps to create such a pleasing atmosphere here on the site all the time, as well of course to the outside analog & tangible world lol, cause I'm almost certain most of you treat everyone and strangers with the same decency and as much kindness as here!

I'm always willing to help where I can in terms of assistance/advice on an art project or craft, and even here just if someone would like a person to talk with or try to make some sense out of something. please always feel free to say hello, ask a question or message me in a private message if you prefer. there's many tips out there for painting and crafting and i most def don't know everything or near, but if able to help I will!

apologies for perhaps rambling on here xD if you happened to read all of this i certainly thank you! appreciate you looking at my crafts and artworks, and mostly love getting to see what each of you out there are creating as well.

Custom Game Sprites, Ripped by Nintentofu

The graphics and animations below are owned by their original creators, and are displayed as works of fan-art for others to enjoy, strictly non-profit.

Aside from other arts, I enjoy creating animated .gif files of either custom sprites, original animations, or even simple animations for avatars. Below are some of either avatars I've made/mashed up for others, as well as original ripped sprites from classic video games.

Please feel free to use them for your own websiite or projects, and if you can please use credit and link me to your page cause I'd enjoy to see. :D

I take great care in trying to preserve the original frame-per-seconds of the actions performed in-game themselves, as well as optimizing the .gif as great as possible. Hope you all enjoy a few!

Hey there! I just had to stop by and thank you for adding me to your watch list after all your incredible compliments  I hope you enjoy my future pieces as much as the ones you've already seen  I can't say how much I appreciate your support enough so thank you again! :la: Also, you're from Arizona? Where abouts exactly, if I may ask? I'm coming across so many AZ people lately and it's awesome! :D

Hey!  Thanks for stopping by!  ;D  It's my pleasure to add you to my watchlist, especially when you create such goodies.   :D  Def will be looking out and forward for your new creations along the way, so don't let me down!  ;)  Jk honestly hehe, but you're very welcome for the compliments and the words upon your art.  Most of the time people truly love a piece of work, yet neglect to say why are maybe even find much to say about why they enjoy it.  As someone who enjoyed your work enough to buy a print, I felt it right to try and give some key points to why the art really looks good to me and to be a bit more thoughtful and considering towards anothers work.

I am from Arizona yes, born here and practically fulled raised here besides living in another state or two along the way.  :)  Love the dry heat though and the Valley isn't ALL that bad!..  I live within the Maricopa County/Phoenix Metropolitan area.  So technically, I'm a Phoenician..  ugh, disgusting to say right?  Haha just messing.  xD

How about oneself?  :D  Do you live within the US?

haha I'm from Phoenix, too, which is exactly why I asked. :D I was born in PA but I've lived in the Phoenix Metro area for the vast majority of my life except for going out of state for university for a while. I've been in the Ahwatukee area for a few years but before then I was in Scottsdale and Tempe; I used to work for ASU. ;) Being a Phoenician is better than being from North Scottsdale, IMO. :P I'm glad to have gotten out of there! I personally love the extreme desert heat so I'm not one to have any complaints except when trying to get in/drive your car, that sort of thing. Then it's not that great. =P In my time on dA over the years I've only run into a handful of AZ deviants outside of AZ-specific groups, but yet the last few weeks I've somehow run into a ton. It's great to see & connect with other artistic/crafty folk in the area.

You are an awesomely multi-talented artist - as well as an incredibly friendly individual - and I look forward to seeing more of your crafts/pieces! You have a wide range of mediums you work gaming themes into which I really enjoy. I definitely appreciate having the ability to chat with someone a bit more thoroughly about pieces versus just the run-of-the-mill comment exchanges, so again your feedback is always welcomed. I will strive to make pieces you'll want to leave in-depth feedback about! :D Thank you again for the thousandth time for your purchase; I had to say it once more. :worship: Best of luck with your Etsy shop and craft adventures! I'll be excited to see what you do next. :)

Oh wow!?  Haha that is mega awesome!  Gosh it's a small world at times lol..  Great to read though that you're within Arizona and this region as well!  I don't actually live within Phoenix exactly, just usually use Phoenix as the closest major city for when explaining to others where I live in and about.  Was born in Mesa at Desert Sam, but lived in all sorts of cities in Arizona but mainly all around Maricopa County.  Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, Mesa, and now at the moment I'm living just on the cusp of Tempe/Scottsdale, practically right on top of Papago Mountain.  Def with you though, I really don't have much complaints at all, especially with the dry heat which I never truly understood how great it was till I went back east a few years ago, and came back and was like AHHH YES!  =P

Very cool as well though btw, my family is all from Pennsylvania practically, my mother was born and raised there also.  Had actually went back east, to PA those few years ago for a big family reunion which was really great and would be nice to do again but yeah, sorry I may be rambling on by this time haha.  =P  Good to meet you though and happy to see you live nearby!  ;D  Thank you a ton for your compliment btw, not many people, near zero, mention a notice to my love of many mediums so it's nice to receive the comment.  :)  Perhaps though my eagerness to try out new things and expand/keep growing, may often be a downfall in a way to not trying to focus or master at one type of art or venue, but meh really I'd prefer to do what I love and enjoy, quality may even be within the eye of the beholder.  ;)

Thanks for the wishes on my Etsy shop as well, really do need to update it with some new goods I have for sale just a little disheartening when I don't sell anything from it haha.  ^_^

Oh wow thank you! That really means a lot =) We love perler beads because you don't have any preexisting skills to make cool art. You just have to be able to look at a picture and bead it. Plus there are a lot of cool bead artists so you get to make new friends and see awesome new work. I guess it inspires you to want to do even more projects =)

Hey it still comes from the same drive and love for art and creativity!  But I know what you mean somewhat, I love to cross stitch sometimes just because of the same thing in a way.  I can just relax and pretty much no matter what, the piece will work itself out.  Don't have to worry much about it, and just enjoy the process but mainly the outcome!  ;)  As long as you love what you do, that's what counts.  =P  Sorry, I must sound incredibly cheese ball lol.  ^_^
